DISCOVERy

Suddenly in 1998 this ep was released. It shows Coptic Rain honouring their influences and the title DISCOVERy shows they want the fans to hear these bands as well. It comprises only cover songs and features extra musicians, like a guy called Nicky (from a band called GodScard) who adds deathmetal like vocals to Fantom (an exerpt of Phantom of the Opera). Other covered bands are Doors, U2, X-Mal Deutschland and Siouxie and the Banshees.

After buying this ep you'll discover that there are two extra mixes of Painted Bird on the disc and some instrumental stuff, so in the end you get a full time cd. Still, Coptic Rain has proven to be able to construct great songs themselves.
